Committed to Supporting Your Mental Health Journey
About me
Hello, I’m Cilem, a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and EMDR therapist. My journey into mental health began in 2005 when I started my undergraduate degree in Psychology, followed by many years of experience working within mental health services. I later completed my CBT training at King’s College London and have since worked within both NHS and private practice settings, supporting clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
I specialise in working with anxiety disorders, including OCD, PTSD, health anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and generalised anxiety. I also support clients experiencing low self-esteem, stress, and depression using evidence-based approaches including CBT and EMDR. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, and I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. Creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and understood is central to the way I work.
I believe clients are the experts in their own experiences, while my role is to provide the tools, knowledge, and therapeutic support to help them better understand their patterns and overcome unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we work towards meaningful and lasting change.
